Rapid Relief, Lasting Wellness.
Below are some of the most common questions we get asked.
-
What is IV Therapy and how does it work?
IV therapy is a fast, effective way to rehydrate and recharge your body in a safe, comfortable environment. A licensed nurse administers a customized blend of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and electrolytes directly into your bloodstream through an IV. Because the nutrients bypass your digestive system, your body absorbs them more quickly and effectively—so you’ll often start feeling the benefits almost immediately. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, and with a variety of IV packages available, treatments can be tailored to help with everything from boosting energy and recovering from illness to supporting long-term wellness.
-
Is IV therapy safe?
IV therapy is considered a very safe treatment when administered correctly. Most safety concerns fall into two main areas: how the IV is given and what’s in the IV itself.
IV Administration:
The most important factor is who’s administering your IV. Always choose a provider that uses licensed medical professionals—like registered nurses—who are trained in proper IV placement. This ensures the procedure is done safely and comfortably.IV Contents:
Since IV fluids go straight into your bloodstream, it’s essential to know exactly what’s in your drip. Look for treatments that clearly list their ingredients—typically a mix of saline, essential vitamins, minerals, and medications tailored for relief. At Bloom IV, we only use what your body truly needs—no unnecessary additives, no gimmicks. Just safe, effective care focused on your well-being. -
How often can I get an infusion?
The frequency of IV therapy depends on your health status, the type of infusion, and clinical judgement. Many people choose weekly or monthly sessions for regular care, with monthly sessions being the most common.
-
Do you offer single IV therapy options?
In addition to regular IV therapy for overall wellness, one-time treatments are a great option for specific situations.
Feeling the effects of a hangover? A targeted IV drip with fluids, B vitamins, glutathione, and medications for nausea and inflammation can help you bounce back fast. Other one-time solutions are available for flu symptoms, food poisoning, jet lag, migraines, and more.
These aren’t treatments you’ll need daily or even weekly—they’re designed to give you fast relief when you need it most. And if you find they work well for you, they can become a useful part of your wellness routine.
-
How long do the IV fluids typically stay in the body?
IV fluids stay in your body until they’ve done their job. Once you’re fully hydrated, your body naturally eliminates any excess fluid through urine. How quickly this happens depends on factors like your level of dehydration and how efficiently your kidneys function. For instance, if you’re only mildly dehydrated, you’ll likely process and flush the fluids more quickly than someone who’s more depleted.
Think of it like drinking a couple glasses of water—how soon would you need a bathroom break? Now imagine that hydration happening faster and more efficiently, since IV fluids go straight into your bloodstream.
After your body absorbs what it needs—hydration, electrolytes, nutrients—you’ll likely feel a noticeable lift in energy and overall well-being. And that refreshed, recharged feeling? It can last for three to four days.
